- General wellbeing and identity exploration
What sessions might look like :
I offer 1 hour and 2 hour sessions once a week or bi-weekly. I can offer you a course of CBT for a particular length of time, working on a specific goal, or a more open-ended kind of connection where we decide together when it’s time to bring our sessions to an end. I am open to staggering sessions as we come to an ending and to meeting again when you feel you need a little extra support. I prefer to meet in person, but where circumstances do not allow, I am available online.
One to one sessions can include:
- Talking therapy
- Parts work
- Grounding and regulation
- Creative exploration
- Walk & Talk outdoors
- Forest Therapy
Walk & Talk Therapy and Forest Therapy
For some people, being outdoors can make it easier to talk, regulate emotions, and feel less “stuck”.
What sessions might look like :
We will agree a meeting place and route before the session so that all risk assessments can be done ahead of time. We will have a back-up plan to reschedule or meet indoors if the weather is inclement.
Group Therapy & Workshops
Group work can offer connection with others, reducing a sense of isolation. Group
therapy is less expensive than 1-2-1 therapy and is generally considered just as effective.
I offer small, supportive groups focused on:
- Trauma healing
- Stress and anxiety
- Creativity and self-expression
- Nature-based connection
- Menopause
- Autism and ADHD understanding and support
- Creative and Theatre based projects
What sessions might look like :
Meeting weekly or bi-weekly focusing on a particular topic, sometimes using a
specific reference material, I will lead the group through the boundary setting, aims,
structure, and psychoeducation as the group learns to trust and support one another.
Participants are never forced to share and anything said at the group stays within the
group. There are often outside tasks undertaken between sessions that are
responded to during session.
Theatre-Based Groups
Participating in or watching theatre encourages empathy, social connection and self- expression that offers a safe space to process complex emotions. It fosters community and reduces feelings of isolation, while improving self-esteem. These sessions offer a way to explore identity, your voice, different parts of the self, and new ways of being. No acting experience is needed.
What sessions might look like :
These sessions could be based on a particular text or offer general acting skills in workshop. We create new work or experiment with written text. These groups might progress to a public showing or not, depending on the group preferences.
